Members First Credit Union has an incredible story – the story where 3 teams, 11 branches, and all of the communities in Michigan come together to meet your financial needs. In 1936, the enthusiastic Teachers’ Club of Midland County put $50 towards the start of a cooperative with a junior high classroom being the first credit union office.
The story gains momentum in 2012 when MFCU joined forces with a trustworthy 64-year-old credit union created for the Clare Manufacturing Company and known for meeting needs in Central Michigan. Fast forward again to 2017 where MFCU started collaborating with Michigan’s oldest credit union established in 1926 by 10 committed employees of the United States Postal Service. It doesn’t get any more vintage than that.
Today, they are Members First Credit Union and remain dedicated to supporting the communities that they’ve grown up in for over 90 years.
