MORBARK, LLC | WINN, MI
MORBARK, from a simple blacksmith shop to a 1.1-million-square-foot manufacturing complex in Winn, MI and another 400 thousand square-foot manufacturing complex in OH. Starting with two workers in 1957, to over 750 global employees today. From one product to hundreds of high-performance equipment designs. We are also proud members of the CMMA!
How it Began
The year was 1957 when Norval Morey, a local sawmill operator, took the first risky step into manufacturing with a patent for a portable pulp wood debarker. Nobody in Winn, Michigan, could have predicted the growth the company would experience over the next several decades. Norval focused on innovative machines to turn wood waste into profits and add business value for field contractors. That philosophy still holds true to this day.
