For the second year now, CMMA in partnership with Great Lakes Bay Michigan Works! and Region 7B Michigan Works!, assisted member companies to apply for a Going Pro Industry Led Collaborative (ILC). An ILC brings together multiple companies interested in training employees in common topics. Harry Leaver, Director of CMMA, collaborated with 13 member companies to apply for Going Pro grant funds for topics including Dale Carnegie, Six Sigma Green Belt, Robotics, Leadership and Sales training.

This year Dale Carnegie offered two courses: Comprehensive Leadership & Communication and Leadership Training for Managers. The Dale Carnegie trainings are designed to build an individual’s confidence and personal leadership skills, communicate more effectively, and enhance teamwork skills.

The 8 week courses began in October and wrapped up this week. Four sessions with morning and afternoon times were offered. 108 employees of 9 companies successfully completed training.

Congratulations to all who participated and made the commitment to improving their skills personally and professionally!

Participating companies included: Bandit Industries, Case Systems, Integrity Fab & Machine, Isabella Bank, Luthy Metal Sales, Morbark, Powell, Melling Products, Mid Michigan College.
