On Tuesday, November 12, Harry Leaver attended a meeting at the Capital in Lansing. The agenda was the Going Pro Talent Fund. Many thanks to Senator Ken Horn for arranging this meeting and chairing it. Since this initiative first started in 2014, thousands of individuals have benefited from a wide variety of trainings that have elevated their skills and also brought about significant performance improvements at many businesses keeping them competitive.

Several business leaders, economic developers and Michigan Works agencies were in attendance and made appeals to get the funding of this important initiative reinstated into the State budget. Some notable regional supporters included Avalon & Tahoe, Fullerton Tool, Nexteer, Consumers Energy, the Great Lakes Bay, Central Michigan, and the Michigan Manufacturers Association and Great Lakes Bay Michigan Works.

Please contact your state representatives and voice your support for this very important initiative!
